Tire Size For My Billet Wheels....

i im trying to decide what size tire i should run on my billet wheels...there 16x8. i was thinking of a 215/55 but i was told those tires would be streched on a 8'' wide wheel. would a 225/55 be ok?the wheels are going on a bagged and bodydropped truck. so i dont want to have a huge tire...but then again i want to protect the wheels as much as possible...so if anyone could help or maby even post some pics of 16'' wheels and diff tire sizes it would help me alot!!!

225/55 should be fine.

what kind of truck is it? that tire would be too big for a min... and you can run a 215 on an 8" wheel all day. most 90s camaros came with 2156016 on a 16x8" rim and that was from gm! i worked in the tire industry for about 10 years. feel free to pm me or call me and ill help the best i can. after all, once you buy the tires they are pretty much yours so get it right the first time!

personally... id run a 215/40/16.

fuk 50 or 55 series tires.

imo they look silly tucked on a mini.

sect width 8.6"

over all diam 22.8"

i was really wanting to stay close to the overall dia of the stock tire.

195-75-14 is 25.5

215-55-16 is 25.3


i really want to see some pics before i make up my mind

go look at a late 90s eclipes. they have 2155516 on them. (im almost certain anyway... been a while since i was in the tire biz.
