I recently bent one of my tie rods and replaced them. Took my truck to the alignment shop and got it aligned as close to specs as possible. The put this MOOG part number K8984 caster/camber sleeve on. I was driving home to get to the local fireworks display and while on the highway I heard a piece of metal bounce around in the engine bay. Then my steering was out of wack, got it home THANK GOD and looked to see what it might have been. I noticed that the new camber adjuster was missing on the drivers side but the pass side one is still there. I have had this truck bagged for three years with no problems. AM I right in saying that sleeve should not have come out. I dont play with the switches 24/7 but I had the stock camber adj for over 5 years with no problems.

Should the shop have to replace the sleeve since it was just replaced on Monday of this week?

Sorry for the rant but I am pissed that this is happening

Any help would be great, Thanks JIMMY

i think if they just did an alignment on it and messed with the adjustment, they might have left it loose and it came out. i'd tow it back or put a bolt in it and drive it in to see what they say. if its a decent shop or dealer, they would care about their reputation and fix it for you.

Its not the ajuster...i have had moogs in mine for the past 5 years no problems. I have had it come out but that was because i forgot to tighten the bolt.
