my cousin saw a 72 chevy online. paint looked awesome and shiny. when it arrived it was primered.. turned out they wet the paint to make it look glossy. also the angles they shot the truck at made the body look straight. but it wasnt.

just one experience... i am sure lots of people have had decent trucks off ebay

I have bought 2 in the last year And You need to ask a million questions! If they cant satisfy you dont buy it. Some people sugest gettin a local mechanic to check it out, I didn't and got lucky both times. Shipping sucks if its bagged already you need to make sure the shipper will pick it up, alot of shipping places wont touch a bagged vehicle or they want to charge alot more. Also the cheapest shipping rates usally take the longest to get. what happens is they put you vehicle on a list for thier truck drivers and if your quoted price is to low none of the truck drivers will pick it up. You end up waiting forever. Use good common sense is the moral of the story "GET LOTS OF PICS AND ASK ALOT OF QUESTIONS". There are also alot of helpful people on this site I'm sure for $40-50 you could get someone that live close to the vehicle to check it out for you!

I bought my daily driver on ebay last April. It was 5 hours away so I went down and test drove it and paid for it the same day. Internet purchases can be tricky no matter what you are buying sight unseen. I know I've bought a lot of stuff that wasn't to my liking once I got it. I would make sure it's what you really want and ask a lot of questions before buying it. You could always relist it back on ebay.

Just ask alot of questions , ask for a phone number to talk with owner . You can tell alot by the persons tone of voice and response to questions if they are being truthful .

I have sold 4 cars/trucks on EBAY . a Fully shaved 67 Camaro , 454ss truck ,Cobra Stang . and most likely will sell my Mazda on 20s on there depending on market .

Cannot stress it enough though , read description over many times, look at pictures alot . Write down Questions you have on his wording/description and flaws/Questions you may find in his photos

I bought my Expedition of Ebay in 2002. It was a great deal, and I negotiated the shipping cost in the prcie of the truck. You obv better off seeing it first, but if you ask the right questions you should be able to get a good idea of what your getting. Id say go for it. If it is totally F'd up and not what the listing says it is then you can dispute it.

my dad found a 1964 ford oneton flatbed in Indiana... guy told him it was a solid truck...not a whole lot of rust. dad wanted to fly up there and drive it home but it was geared too low to do highway speeds so we drove from baton rouge louisiana all the way to indiana to pick it up and we got there and looked at the truck.... there is a hole rotted through the frame by the pass side leaf spring hanger that u can shove a orange through.... the front inner fenders are rotted, core support is gone, hood edges are gone, fender bottoms are shot, floor has holes....it runs and starts great so we got it anyway for the paperwork and motor. so just be careful of what u get....my dad even called and talked to the guy and got tons of pics...just couldnt see ne of the bad in them
