I know this is waaaaaaayyyyy off topic but maybe someone is in the concrete trade on here or someone here has done it before.

Anyone done it? I'm buying a house and I want to do it but i'm unsure about how much i'm going to need. Like the concrete to stain ratio. If anyone has any insight let me know.

I've never done it, but I've seen it on T.V. and thought it was way cool looking... I guess i jut chimmed in to let you know that at least some one out there knew what you were talking about, and to serve as kind od a "BUMP"

I've seen it on TV too but never done it I would say it wouldn't be much as the weight would be pretty bad if you got it very thick but I couldn't tell you for sure. Try going to like hgtv's website or some shit.

IIRC you don't pour them on site. You buy them pre-formed and you can order them already stained. If you choose to stain them yourself the cans of stain will have an aproximate coverage area on the back of the label.

I saw on HGTV the other day they had this concrete/paper counter top that is alot lighter, cheaper and easier than standard concrete and it looked really nice... lol just my 2 cents...

My buddy is starting doing this in Ohio, They looks pretty cool and he mixes some type of acid into the mix to change the color, forms them in his shop them installs them on site. Last time i was up there he thought he was cool cause he just ebayed a huge mixer for super cheap. If by any Random change your in ohio i can shoot him your number.
