If I have a 8 gallon tank rated at 150 psi and i have 2 viair 480's

that are 200psi, and my 3/8" valves which are 200 psi i think, what psi cutoff do i need?

145 on 175 off would work also, but you don't "need" that much

yes, that would work. really an switch that shuts off before 200 will be fine.

ahh i see so the psi on the tank is just what its "Rated" it really can go up to 200psi?

I have a Viair 480 with 6 gallons, 3/8" smc's, and 1/2" line on my caprice with an adjustable pressure switch set at 150 on, 175 off. Its a bit much but i like it.

i was looking into getting an adjustable pressure switch but one question, those two wires that come off it do those connect to 12v power source and relay just like the normal pressure switchs? and also whats the limits in pressure you can adjust to?

i have 2 480's on a 5gal. 165 on 200 off. i'm about to add another 5 gallon.

so if i were to get an adjustable pressure switch i could change what it turns on at and what it turns off at and the two wires that come off the adjustable pressure switch would hookup to the exact same spots as the normal pressure switchs with the two metal prongs coming off it would?
