Im considering bagging my Impala now. I need something with enough lift to clear my 22s with 255-30-22 tires. My stock spring is 19.5 inches tall. Would a Shockwave lift my car high enough to clear the fender? If not what can I use to make it clear?

Shockwaves have a very short stroke. the ones i had only had like a 4 or 5 inch stroke.

no they are only set up for 3-5 inches of stroke. in my personal opinion they are garbage

the longest stroke Shock Wave we have is 5" we have dirrect kits for the 58-64, 65-70 and B body impalas. a 22" wheel shouldn't be an issue most independent front ends are a 1.5-1, 2-1 ratio for every inch at the shock equals 2 or so at the wheel.... if you have any other questions feel free to ask...

Shockwaves are not garbage in any sense of the word, i've been using them exclusively on all my projects for 4-5 years now with zero trouble. They lift waaay more than enough, they are tuneable, and they handle and ride very well in every application I have used them in. Now, if you use the wrong shockwave, or if you use them in a application they weren't meant to be used in, yes, you will have trouble, but thats just like anything else. Get the proper shockwave for your application and you will swear by them. I have used them on many early Impala's, early Old's, and early Buicks all running 20'' and 22'' wheels and they worked perfectly. Goodluck with your car.
