I want to do a rear disc conversion but am not sure what one to go with, lcengineering or downey offroad which kit is the best or is there any other kits out there. Thanks

a explorer rearend from 95 on up is disc, same lug pattern and can be had for about $250

ive looked at downey offroad. imo too fukin pricey for some brackets and chevy calipers...

seth made some for his yota i believe.

there is also a guy that sell the price list and brackets for $100.00 - id have to find his name though.

I've got a really good friend who bought a Downey kit for his Tacoma and spent close to 1000 bux to buy all his parts. He then decided to try to sell a few kits of his own. He was able to figure out what parts were used and found out they could be bought much cheaper than Downey offers them. If you are interested he sells the bracket kits with a parts list for $100 plus shipping. He used one on his truck and has sold a few other sets to folks. They seem to work well. I would suggest giving him a call and he can give you more details. His name is Rich Hopkins and the # is 336-266-5437.
