drop spindles

i have an 1989 toyota pick-up extended cab and i am new to the whole torsion bar set ups and i was wondering if i needed drop spindles? i am going to z the frame an inch and a half. i know i am going to have to cut for clearance but just wondering about the drop spindles. thanks.
