i'm in ohio and have been looking for a 60-66 chevy/gmc shortbed for a while now. found one i've been obsessing over for the past week. just wondering what i should expect to pay for one that's in pretty decent condition? it has very minimal rust for being in ohio it's whole life. and has some nice engine/drive train shit...rebuilt newer big block with mild bolt-ons, muncie 4-speed on the floor, new driveshaft, 12-bolt rear, and it's a gmc with rear leafs. any ideas? wasn't lookin to spend too much, but this one is badass and just happens to have a lot of motor/drivetrain upgrades. hard to pass up, but i don't want to overpay for it. please help!

Your best bet is to research the market for your area. Different areas tend to support a wide variety of price ranges. I could tell you what I would pay for a somewhat rust free truck in Texas but I'm sure the price is far less then a somewhat rust free truck in Ohio. The trucks are more plentiful here and less "rusty". Check craigslist, truck traders, newspapers etc. You'll narrow down what you would be willing to pay for it once you've discovered others.

dude said the lowest he can take is $3500 which still seems like a fair price considering everything it has. i just need some help deciding on if i should go more in debt and have another dope truck or just keep saving my money...

3500 seems like a good deal especially if its got a muncie 4 speed and a big block... worst case scenario you can run the numbers on the muncie and if its a vette 4 speed they are bringin stupid money nowadays, for a complete running and driving truck that doesnt have super rust 3500 is a good deal.

$3500 is a great deal if the body is in that good of shape
