I've read many places that you can do this, you just have to swap it over. I talked to Lucky and he said you have to do the dual chain timing setup and mod the cover just to run the head. Is this correct? I'm not doubting him, just trying to get my facts in order so I know what to order when the time comes.

I want to do the torkr cam from engnbldr and the 20R head. That should give me a good (read: decent) boost in power along side my weber.

Also, can it be done to a 85+ motor or just pre 85.

from what i remember, you can stick it onto the later model block. but you have to deck the head a bit, since the newer blocks are taller with a shorter head. which changes the timing chain length. if you want to do it on the later block, you might need to run the older 22r pistons. i cant remember which is the preferred setup. and you need the 20r intake manifold. the weber adapter stuff will still work on it. exhaust is the same though. despite the fact that im runnin a 5 speed 20R with a weber and stock everything, i can feel that its got more potential than my 22RE with an exhaust and k&n did. so, there might be some reality to the 20R head thing.

youll need diff chain, gear and/or tensioner too... some chains were double and some were single. cant remember which ones though. my purple engine in my profile had 20r head on a 22r.

pm "danesisuzu" or maybe its "daneisuzu" and ask him... he tagged my profile. he now has my old purple engine. (thats a looooong fukin story!)
