Im doing a 1994 Chevy fullsize and am making it into a "shop truck" and would like to run steelie wheels on it. I am bagging it so my stock 15's wont work with the drop spindles so I need to go bigger. Is there a steelie wheel off another truck or anything with the same pattern the I could find cheaper than buying a new set of steel wheels? Better yet can I lay out on my 15's with stock spindles?

I ran 15" steelies with drop spindles on my '90. Had to trim the edges of the lca's, but they fit. It was a close fit however. Maybe 1/8" between the tierod end and the inside of the wheel. You'd have to run around a 23" tall tire to lay out without drop spindles.

Wow that would be a little tire! That would be a 195/50/15. Better go with a larger rim then.. Anyone else have any ideas?

I have a set of 16" smooth steel wheels on a caprice. They are a aftermarket hotrod wheels powder coated black. They are 16x5 and 16x8. I got them off ebay used but they look new.
