i gave up and sold the 94 ranger last week, and bought a new project for 300 more than i sold the ranger. 1967 gmc pickup, no rust 305 v6 and a automatic trans, been sitting for years and years the guy said, but it made the hour drive home on the freeway just fine at about 70 the whole way.im new to these chevys and was wondering if theres a way to convert to front discs and get drop spindles with out buying a 900 dollar kit. what do ya think?and the plan is to eventually have this thing layed out. whats it take on these trucks? ive read the frame needs to be z'd, anything else?

there was a place doing one of those that had a whole lot of tech and step by step on their site but i can't remember who the hell it was, they had even gone as far as cutting the long bed into a short. maybe someone else on here will remember where to find it.

porterbuilt is your best bet to avoid a Z and narrow you front track width although there xmember is around 1500-2k. IMO its well worth it, wish it was better known when I started because I would have went with it. As for front disc, you can just get 72 drop spindles, rotors and calipers but youll have to get the brake lines etc and also more than likely do a power booster.

I would go with a 73+ even though its the same 5 on 5 lug pattern the design in the seals is better. Get a rear end outta one too. Looks like a nice truck for one thats been sitting. Keep us updated. If you do Z it you will need at least 2 1/2" or 2 3/4 if u second guess urself
