Wont Stay Running........(RussD ?)

Ive done everything I can think of, advance the timing, change the fuel filter, cleaned the carb, new fuel pump, turned idle up. I have to have my foot on the gas to keep it running the moment I let off it dies but fires right back up. My choke opens when it gets warm but I have to have my foot still on the gas for it to open, after it gets warm it still dies, so I know the choke is working because it's opening. What the hell else could be wrong, I dont have the money to buy a Weber right now so that outta the question. Anybody have a 2.2 Carb for cheap. Thats the only thing I can think of thst the jets in the carb arn't working ? Autozone has a rebuild kit for $60.00, but I dont know what im doing.

how does it run when you get it started? does it start everytime? we need more info.

Vacuum leaks would cause that too. Broken springs for the advance in the distributor could cause that. There is alot of stuff that could cause that. You probably should take it to a mechanic if you can't figure it out.

check the 2 vacuume line next to the valve cover they run below the intake and under the carb they are a biotch to see but thats what happened to mine
