in need of......

i need the surround box that goes on a sony cd player. the aluminum piece that holds the deck to the dash kit. im not sure the actual name of the piece, but im sure you know what i mean. thanks for any info or help.

You are looking for the mounting cage.

Might try asking some local shops. A lot of times they will iso-mount a head unit( bolted/screwed to the dash frame....common on Nissan and toyotas ) and they may have some unused, or maybe used cages laying around.

Try to ask one of the installers vs. the sales dude.

Might even luck up at a circuit city or Best buy also.

its commonly called a cage. Like said above, visit a local shop, go to the garage and ask an installer rather than talking to a salesperson. I know circuit city is suposed to give all accessories back to the customer, but check them out anyway. Most shops will have trillions of them just collecting dust because mostly everything than can be iso mounted now a days
