I need suggestions for leveling out the front of my ranger.

Ok so I have a 1995 Splash 2.3 5-speed. Well back in January I lowered with a DJM 3/4 kit, beams in the front and flip kit in the back. It has had 7 months to "settle" but it still sits an inch or 2 higher in the front. Not as noticeable when parked downhill obviously but on flat ground you can tell and it's pretty frustrating. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem. I know I could probably hack off a half of a coil from the stock front springs but my problem is how close the tires are to the inner fenderwells. I'm running 17x8s all the way around with 275/40 in the back and 245/45 in the front. My front tires are about 3" from hitting the inner fenderwells and I'm afraid if I go any lower, hitting a piss ant will cause me to bottom out. Now I'm not running a big wheel and tire and I know plenty of people use this kit. Do you just remove the inner fender wells and drop it down a little more, raise the backend, or what to level these out? Thanks in advance.

on my 96 we pulled the inner fenders out, and cut 2 coils off. i was running 18x9.5 cobra wheels at the time and didn't have any problems...I have the drop i beams from chassis tech(not the dream beams)

i lowered my buddies 94 ranger, and it sits higher in the front too... so it must be pretty common... let me know what you do

Yeah I have a post over at RPS and they suggest cutting a coil but my problem is what i'm going to do as far as the fenderwells. I would still like to have something there to prevent shit from getting up inside my engine bay. I wonder if I can remove the fenderwells from underneath, trim them, and mount them back on the top inside the engine bay? That would probably get me an extra inch. Hey brad did you end up having a lot of shit flying around the engine bay with no fenderwells?

it wasn't too bad...usually after the 1st rain in a while (when all the road grime that is built up gets washed away) but i would just hose it out when i washed the truck...also putting wd-40 on all the plastic pieces helped a ton with keeping it clean

What would I use James? Shackles?

yea i would just use some shackles. or add a leaf to your leaf pack

First of all you have a really nice and clean ranger! I would cut a coil or 2, and just trim the inner fenders, and where it is open just fill in the open areas with some sheet metal. Good luck!
