another "what can be removed" thread...

I know I know, these get posted once a week it seems as we all want to know what can be removed for the weber install. I have that done, and had it running just fine. Well, spun a bearing and now have to rebuild so i am tearing the motor down.

Can the piece below be removed completely?? It was connected to a round ball type thing,then to a metal vac advance lookin thing, then the hose, then the flat black box, then metal piping, connected to the exhaust manifold. I'm guessing it's emissions as well and CAN be removed?





also, can the piece with the two blue vacuum caps be removed and a plate made to block it, like the EGR can be?

id say those can probably all go, but if i have stuff like that (which i dont remember) i dont think i pulled it. but that charcoal canister can go away. run the vent line up high and then loop back down.

i got it removed, just cant get the damn motor out now. its stuck to the tranny real good

thats why i like working on gm trucks

Pull the trans out with it.

^^ much easier to do it that way. putting it back in is easier to.

ill take the tranny out if needed. i got the motor out without it.
