72 hilux

i have a 72 lux also. bought it for $500. im currently in the prossess of fitting in a 1984 celica 22re and 5 speed. the truck was running when i bought it, but the jack shaft that runs the timing chain and distributor broke the gear for the distributor. no luck in finding parts, so im making due. parts for that truck need to be bought for a 71, or an early 72. month 4 of 72 and back. mid 72 they changed the body style. i spent $500 already just in the brakes and rear end replaceing the axle bearing and seals. and another $500 on thet donor celica. i also lowered ther truck 4 inches and put on 18's its clean super fin to drive when it was running. i cant wait to get it back on the road. here are a few pics of mine. needing some body work but all there.stock with rimslowered 4 inchesshoped to the doorenjoy!

SO LAST NIGHT I HAD A DREAM THAT I TRADED SOMEONE MY 72 TO FINISH MY 94. HAHA.. AND WHEN I GOT THE 94 BACK IT WAS AN S10 AND I WAS BUMMED

my favorite toy is the ramlux, (hilux with the rambler roof) that Sean built. it was on the cover of mt. Mike Self had it for a while. i wish i knew what happened to it.

i like the front end on those.. but i kinda like the truck better just static dropped.

well i decided to take out the engine and rebuild it. so now it should run even better..

just think, its a 72 so its legit to take to GOODGUYS shows, imagine bein able to do a lil frame dragage by some of those high dollar billet rods
