my buddy has a dakota and we caint deside on wether to paint it to match the truck or black spray on liner..... wat are your opions on it? it also driven to most shows and he also has experance in the spray on liners for around 5 years.....the bed is mostly covered except the notch....there will be bridge work and powder-coated axel and painted frame.....i would think all the work on getting the bed where it is(ready for 1 or the other) would be more sensable to do the liner sence it isnt hauled and dont want the twisting and all the rocks ect. to damage the paint

you can paint over the bedliner material in most cases

i think the painted beds are cleaner.... lined beds are more practical for a truck that sees some use..... but detail in the bed is always a good thing and lined beds seem to me to be an easy way out... and they can hide a bunch of imperfections in any sheetmetal work in the bed

they do hide imperfections but unless its a full show truck then i would use anything other than a lined bed just to be able to throw a cooler, chairs, and stuff back there

depends on wether or not its a full show truck or a daily, if its a daily and you are actually planningon using the bed, it would be wise to spray on bed liner, if its built for show, paint it, u'll be less likely to scratch it or ding it up if you bed line it
