if its goin in the s-10 you can get an aluminum one from summit faily cheap and get it with a gm sending unit in it for your gauge

If you're installing one in your S10 it'll be pretty straight forward. You can simply get one from Jegs or Summit with a sending unit and put a pump in line. The MSD pump they sell works great. Your stock fuel pressure regulator will keep everything in line. Or, you can mount your factory pump/sender unit in the cell you buy. That way is much easier since the system will be exactly as it was with the stock tank. The 0-90 ohm sender from Jegs/Summit will work with your stock gauge as well.

Here's a few pics with the OEM pump I mounted in an RCI fuel cell from Summit.

Made a pump cover to clean it up. Powder coated it gloss black to match the fill neck.

Installed & plumbed.

I did them that way for a while and decided that if I make my own cells I can have it however I want in regards to mounting, shape & volume.

I did this one to mount beneath the bed. 25 gallons. I put bosses in the bottom so the mounts would be hidden.

sorry to hi-jack but when making your own fuel cell does the inside of the tank need coating of some kind? Or just raw alum and what gauge alum do you use? Thanks

josh (no1lowr) from rail it customs just got done making mine & it's badass! i chose no sending unit, so you'll have to talk to him about that. the bungs he used look sweet! he even used square stock & heli-coils to make it fit flush. i used to have a summit one, but there was no way for me to flush it into the new sheetmetal bed floor. don't get me wrong, the summit one was nice, but josh's was made to order & those bungs really set it off!
