I've finally decided to continue building my Chevy and getting it running and looking good again. For a while I lost the drive to even mess with it..very busy with school, job, etc... I was watching World of Trucks last night on outdoor channel and saw some clean laid out rides, and I realized I missed my truck and need to finish what I started. Now that I have my new job and the funds to support the hobby again the build is on. The bad part is, I have let the truck sit up uncovered for a little over a year now. I tried to start it but smoke is coming from behind the dash, the wheels are oxidizing, the interior is in 100 pieces..I don't even know where to start..any advice would be very appreciated. Sorry for the soap box just had to vent. Peace.

as far as the dash fire i dont know man... as far as where to start. get a pad of paper and just start walking around the truck writing a check off list of everything you want to do and everything you have a problem with. tape it to your windshield. whenever you want to work on your truck, look at the list and pick something that you feel like taking on that particular day and do it. This makes it a lot less overwhelming than looking at a huge project torn apart sitting there and going "oh my god where do i start!" anyway just an idea thats helped me a lot in the past when ive had too much going on.its a good lookin truck man, im glad your not gonna let it rot!
