How do you perfer to clean your tools?

From hand held tools to power tools!

all my stuff is from snap on so i just use carb spray and rags on the hand tools and wipe down the air tools, i hafta have half way decent stuff since I work caterpillar equipment

Carb cleaner is good. But if your too lazy to clean them individually them throw all your hand tools in a bucket of water/engine degreaser and let em sit for a lil bit. Thats what i do when they get really diry. As for power tools just a nice wipedown with something that will cut grease and your good to go.

I usually take a rag, and give a light spray on the rag of WD40 or Starett M1 oil, and then wipe everything down with that, and then dry rag them all clean. seems to work good, and the light film of oil stops any rust from slowly creeping up...especially on impact sockets.

im anal and clean mine 1 at a time. usually wiping them down with a rag is fine, sometimes gota break out the brake cleaner. ive got snap on and matco tools so i try to keep em in shape.
