wondered when you were gunna post these over here....

hahahaha, it took me a while, i was waiting for it to be near finished in hopes that i could get some excitement going about it on the internet, the finish deadline is the 14th of next month. ill be done with all the body work on the cab tomorow, the beds already done. i just have to work out the fenders, im not going to roll it with a hood for a while, i need to find one thats in better shape than mine.

so there should be lots of updates, or atleast as many as streetsource lets me post with my bronze account

Lookin good! are those DJM drop beams?

yeah they are, i dont reccomend them to anyone. they make you buy these tie rod reloactors, they told me i would need them even after i told them it was bagged. And they where no where near right. i paid 45 bucks for them. But i also dont reccomend bagging an IBEAM truck with the stupid ibeams.

well first off, dont bag an i beam truck, you spend 2x as much as clipping it. and yes the frame had to be modified to lay out a lot.

the front spring cups had to be cut out, the frame had to be Z'd in order for the trailing arms to not hit the ground before the frame, then after it was z'd i had to remake the front/rear body mounts so the cab would be level again, then the frame stuck out under the cab where it was zd so it had to be body dropped almost the equivilent of the Z. so dont bag an i beam truck. if you clip it. you cut the trailing arms off and your good. But i also dont reccomend modifying a frame, just fucking build a new one, its easier, less clean up, and more fun. Boxing a frame was the least fun thing ive done in my entire life.

Yea I know what you mean I got the same DJM setup on my '69 and the tie rod relocaters are a PITA. Ive put about 10,000 miles on em but I always got to check if there tight cause I cant get a cotter pin in there. I was leaning towards using the I beams to bag it but I agree with you on not using them. im gonna look for either a chevy or dodge clip.

Im worried about how youve angled the bags in the back so they push away from each other. This might put unecessary load on your lower bars. other than that looks great.

i know that things fucking awsome, if i had the money to have a bob grant do my body work. ive been checking up on it quite often. i wish my build was as nice. But im 19 and ive been doing this for 6 months. SO i figure its ok for my first build to not be absoutly rediculously amazing. So far its turning out to my liking. Ive been designing my next build on CAD, maybe ill post some pictures when im bored. im going to chop/bag/body/ a late 60s burbon.
