ok i got this truck that a guy had all the rear brakes off, i mean he took everything to do with brakes off, all the way to the booster, and he put a bolt where the rear line ran out, so he could power brake i guess, unsure, but my thing is, ive went and bought everything it takes to have them on the rear again, shoes lines all the bells n whistles, now, i bleed this thing around 9 different times and dates. but my pedal still goes almost to the floor before it catches, ive adjusted the slack adjusters also. but i think they are something gone from it still. like a valve block or something, i'm not sure but this sure as heck isnt working, not for even 40 mph, would be a harsh stop lol, so any input on this would be great, its the only thing holding me up from going to whitsburg and from even driving the stupid thing thanks in advance, pics help too, but i think i'm missin the part thats on the rear of the frame, or is that just fot 4x4, its an 88, not using parkin brake, its body dropped, also it has a weber carb incase someone ask about the vacum, hmm i cant think of any other brake thing lol, anywho thanks,

maybe the booster and master cylinder are bad.

mazdas can be a pickle to get the rear bled. check your pad clearance to your drum to make sure it is tight also.

Do Mazdas have a proportioning valve? However, missing that should cause the rear brakes to lock up before the fronts.

Hit up www.myspace.com/jarradcheek he is from London and knows a lot about Mazdas.

BTW: Its all up hill to Whitesburg, you should be fine. LOL

haahaha yeah but the trip back down the hills will sure be a blast lol, well everything from the booster back is new, they are a valve thing i put on it, dunno wtf its for, but my ol man said it needed, also i dont know if it helps much or not, but if shut the truck off while holding the brake, the dam thing will almost break ur leg it has so much preasure on it. i dunno what to do, i have spent almost 200 so far just doing the back brakes, and it wouldnt stop if i were going prolly 25mpgh, i could lay it out and slide into a spot, but it would get pretty wild in some spots of town lol, does anyone think it could be the booster? or how could i check the booster. it has to be good or so it wouldnt kick back that much preasure after i shut it off. anywho HELPPPPPPPPPPP lol, thanks again to you guys ^ and everything under this line ____________

its not a mazda, but on my 98 gmc 1500, my booster went bad and when I would shut the truck off the pedal would press back out so damn hard also. Now that I replaced my master and booster it doesnt do it anymore. Might be your problem?
