I've done a chevy 350 small block motor swap. still have the stock hood and its bodydropped to the pinch. its not that bad. not sure about them dodge motors though.

you're best bet would to buy a set of univerisal motor mounts from a place like speedway motorsports for a hot rod (unless you want to solid mount it to your frame which i would not recommend) along with a trany mount. btw what kinda tranny are you going to use ? a torqueflight 727 ?

haha. thanks alot. I built motor mounts for the motor and tranny mount. the motor mounts are solid and have kinda like a 4link bushing. tranny crossmember is the factory center bolt from GM and i just built a new tubular mount.

theres alot of people runnign v8s in hardbodys with stock hoods. never seen a dodge motor in one though. theres how to v8 hardbody buildups on nissancustoms.com though. but more for the 350s but could be some helpful info

fyi that 318 is going to be a taller motor then a 350 or 305. You may run into clearance issues.

clearance is the only thing im conserned about. the oil pan sum drops toward in the front of the motor, not the rear like 350's. any ideas on what would be needed in order to clear the crossmember and steering linkage?
