What truck to get?

Well I have narrowed it down to two trucks.

The first one is an 08 crew cab cummings 6 spd 4x4 loaded up.The other is an 08 mega cab with the hemi automatic 4x4

The diesel is 29k the hemi is 26kWhat do you guys think.

I work part time driving the cummins diesel trucks for a local testing facility and those things are pretty badass. Really can't say a whole lot about it for confidentiality reasons tho. I will say that the Megacabs are sweet trucks. I'm 6'2" and can stretch out very comfortably in the rear seat. They feel like you are driving an SUV there's so much interior room. BUT the Megacabs only have a 6' bed so if you do a lot of hauling then you may want an 8' bed. Also with diesel fuel at more than a dollar higher (here anyway) than gasoline per gallon I would probably go with the HEMI truck.
Both trucks should get right about the same MPG and the HEMI is 3 grand less from the get go. I like a manual trans but I would much rather have an automatic for daily driving. HTH! Later

Personally I would go for the diesel. I got an older dodge ex-cab with the cummings engine and its a great truck. It has a great amount of pulling power and still gets good gas milage. For only 3k more I don't think you can go wrong.

Those diesels are great running engines. Some of our tests include a route that runs through a national forest that all gravel and has a shit load of hills and sharp turns. It's a fkn blast running thru there. One of the trucks I drive the most thru there is a diesel Megacab and for a big ass truck it can handle some pretty tight turns at a fairly high rate of speed. Not that I know from experience!

Oh and with a just a few performance upgrades those diesels are just fkn wicked!

what is the deal on the life time warrnty. That is the only thing making me second guess the cummings. I can go through a drive train pretty damn quick.
