1988 ford ranger wont start

ok guys need help asap i had my ranger sitting for 3 week went to get in it to start it and i wouldnt start so i checked the fuel pum and filter those are still good so i changed the plugs and wire tryed to start it it trys but doesnt turn over would could it be im in the process of selling it too so im in need of help asap

Which engine 2.9 or 2.3, You said the Fuel Pump is O.K. So you can hear it run when you turn the key on?

is it weak turning over?
