have you changed or replaced any parts recently? its not odd to have a brand new part not work or go bad cus i had a 93 s-10 2.8 v6 that the starter was back feeding some how and it was causing my truck to sputter run rough and crank and crank but not start. sometimes its the obvious stuff that you over look

My old truck did that once so I changed the fuel filter and it was fine. Hope you get it fixed! Little things like that always makes me mad too

Has it had a tune up latley? My girlfirned honda did the same thing so I did a tune up and changed the fuel filter and the problem was fixed.

We use to test cats by checking back pressure...by drilling a whole in front of the cat and behind, they make a guage that goes in the hole and you monitor the pressure in front then behind if the # in front is alot higher chances are you have a bad cat. Any muffler shop should have this setup.
