i been working on my truck for quite some time now and well im tending to drive it more and more . it was a base model no a/c or p/s so . im looking into finding any a/c parts and input on how hard it is to put in and also about how hard is it to install a power steering pump and can anyone help me out on finding these parts for me?

ive been looking for a donor truck but it seems i can never get ahold of one. any help will be appreciated or tips to installing will help.

my 78 yota has a/c. everything works. just needs more coolant. i know the compressor and condesor and engine bay stuff could be made to work, i dont know about the under dash stuff. mine was a dealer add on. let me know if you want to buy that stuff.

for the p/s you'll need the pump, gearbox, bracket, lines (including the cooler line that goes through & in front of the core support) & the resivor. toyotas don't go into the radiator so that's a plus for you. i'd suggest finding a truck (89-95) at one of your local junkyards, because the gearbox alone weighs a ton & that'd be one hell of a shipping cost for anyone to find you all the parts & ship them to you. even if you have to go for a drive to another town for another junkyard, i'd go that route.

ok the junk yard is on my list to get parts from and i was wanting to know years from other toyota trucks and 4 runners that the parts are swappable from . i can only get parts from what year trucks???

if you're talking about the 93 in your profile, you can go with 89-95, but i don't know about about 4 runners...i'd assume so, but hopefully someone will chime in that can give you the for sure on the 4 runners...

i put some new a/c parts on my moms 4runner back in the day and the guy at the parts store told me it was the same... dont know how true that is - i just remember it was in our conversation.

message "jsondrops" on here. he works at the toyota parts counter!

you just have to make sure its a 4runner with the 4cyl. the v6 ones are diffrent. thats the tricky part! its hard to find a 90+4runner with the 22re.
