i had an EAI for about a year. I bought it new on ebay. after about a month one of the switches stopped working. I realized im not much of a switch box guy so i went back to surface mounted rocker switches.

Thanks. That's what i wanted to know. My wife is about to be aired so i want to get her the most reliable box i can.Everybody says so much about avs but i just hadn"t heard anything on eai.

I know this was a while back but I have a EAI box and I have had to solder a connection in the switch box already. The control box's plastic base has broken off already too. I wouldnt reccomend getting this. However having a actual box to wire your valve wires up to was a selling point for me. Im pretty sure AVS's more expensive setups have the control box. I just find it difficult to shell out over $100 for something a person with a little bit of knowledge could easily build for $20-$30...
