i dont really know how to begin so i'll start here, my 02' s-10 pass. side seat belt died about 6 months ago, just stopped retracting, right before i suicided that door. no biggy, i can handle it. well time has passed and now i have come to hate "self retracting" it everytime i get out of the truck. when i suicided the door, i removed the factory bracket to suicide the door (like your supposed to) and today i went to a junkyard to get another seatbelt. well i found 3 trucks with the right seatbelt and they werked fine, self retracted like a dozen times each, all three of em. well, after i removed the top bolt (pic below) and the floor bolt (pic below) and the main bolt that holds the belt retractor to the bracket (pic below), the belts stopped retracting. im not yanking on em, im not molesting em, they just will not retract wut so ever. does anyone know why this would accure? is there an internal lock that self deploys when the belt is removed from the bracket?
