i had one battery in my old truck...ran the 2 380s and i had a 400 watt amp and 2 10tens and it did fine

one bat would be fine, 2 relays, 8 gauge wire to the pair atleast... if you have a large audio system get a bigger alternator. imo another battery wont help when your truck is running.... if u have a 100 amp alternator and ur truck is using 130amps with the audio, comps(if ur hitting switchs alot), headlights, motor, and other elect. stuff... it gonna evetually go dead no matter how many batteries u have...

not trying to be an a$$. just trying to help, btw it would suck fabbing another batt tray.

thats what i needed to know.
now if i got a new alternator what amp alternator would i need to get and could i steel use only one battery. or would it steel be better to steel have 2 batterys.

i bought a kinetik battery and i thinks it dam good.looks good also right behind my compressors and i like it bc i can mount it any where and its relatively small also so . it works for me.... and i also got another hc 600 for sale ill sell ya.

what is an hc 600
datboychevy   +1y
hc 600 is a type of kinetik battery, u could get one of those or an optima, but ur profile says you have an 800w amp. the comps draw 32 amps... ur amp 800w/12 volts = 66.7 amps.... ur truck needs 30-40 amps to run. so 32+68+40= 140 amps... and i think the fullsize chevy stock alternator is around 100amps. so either get a better alt. or turn off your amps when ur comps are running.... and if you want you can do the "big 3" replace the ground wires on your truck, block2frame frame2battery battery2block i think thats what they are....

the stock one will be fine if you lose the system. i had two 380s and a 400w amp and it was ok on my 94 fullsize chevy with stock alternator and battery... so all you need is 8 gauge wire a fuse, the comps and 2 relays..
