There are some long hard lines on the power steering that bend in a u shape. Are all these lines needed. Can i shorten them up a bit?

yes, they are all necessary, but you can take them to a hydraulic shop & have them shortened. i did that to all of mine except the one that runs through the core support for cooling. i shortened that one on my last toy & the gearbox got so hot it kept melting/blowing out the shaft seal. there was no steering shaft binding/mis-alignment issues either. as soon as i replaced it with a stock one, everything was fine. you can shorten everyone but that. also when you shorten them remember to not fill your resivoir all the way because your overall capacity is reduced (i learned that also on my first toy the messy, hard way )

hope that made sence
