Hurricane Gustav Comin MY WAY!

i got home a few hours ago from boarding up the store where i work, and sandbagging it all...

My brother works for AMR (ambulance company) in Southern California and is on the disaster relief team. They sent him (and 2 other teams) out that way on friday.

we waited 10 min to see some body !! these were takin at 6:00 pm TODAY

I wish everybody to be safe down there .
I was there for hurricane Katrina from 8 days after the storm and I came back home one week before scrape by the coast .
I did cover from Alabama to New Orlean .
If I am call for disaster relief again I will come back down to help the south.It was an honor to be there and I will do it again .

Like my american family from the south told me ,I will take back a piece of the south with me up north they where right .

i spent more time building a front semi-wall type carport to block the tree debris and other shit that come hit my truck than tryin to protect the trailer. yea its a fema trailer and if it gets damaged hopefully i can get it fixed by fema. but other than that it's just been really windy and i know ima have a new pond in my front yard now but other than that i hope everybody else is ok and the were well prepared. i had no idea that so many other ppl were affected like me.

just got my power back last night and just got back my tv and internet!

Fortunately, I live about a mile from Demco (our elec. company), and we had power in about 6hrs. But theres people throughout the Baton Rouge that will be out for possibly up to 6-8 weeks. I`ve never seen this much damage to BR. Fkn crazy

Did good in Metairie, and now back in Hammond and everything is good here too. Hope everyone was as fortunate.

yea i have to go over to baton rouge to see my DR. i just had surgury on my right shoulder 2 weeks ago i was supposed to go last fri. but they calld and said i didnt want to be around br bcuz of traffic from the evacuation and all ... i called to Dr. office today and they said they are closed due to no power
