nah, there was never an "original Datsun sunbeam" on Datsuns.
A lot of us Datsun owners paint a "Japanese rising sun flag" somewhere on there ride. (hood, roof, etc.)
...I painted one in that cream color on the hood, but it changed the lines when you looked at the truck and it looked gay. so I barely sanded it and painted over it. what you are seeing is whats left. ..its now a phantom flag haha.
still a cool photo though?

nah, there was never an "original Datsun sunbeam" on Datsuns.

...I painted one in that cream color on the hood, but it changed the lines when you looked at the truck and it looked gay. so I barely sanded it and painted over it. what you are seeing is whats left. ..its now a phantom flag haha.

thats strange because here in SC i found a 620 in a boneyard with a matching "rising sun" flag on the hood. i figured it was a dealer option or something when i saw it on yours as well. thought about doing it on my 720 hood

I love these trucks. When you first started to do bodywork on this truck we can see your "toolbox" in the picture, Man my box says Snap-On too but it isn't near that big LOL. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming.
