seth on my crown vic wagon, i know it was the body style before, i raised the motor and tranny 1" and didnt have to cut any of the pans and still cleared the floor and hood by a long shot.

20 years ago they used different tranny and motor than the one's in these cars. I tried to raise mine 3/4" and tranny hit floor and motor will hit hood.

Thats no shit,After seeing your car I test drove one to my shop and racked it.Made me respect the work involved looking around this one.I also considered a dts but I don't think they look as good.

Well, once again the car is getting torn apart.I am redoing the entire front suspension to get it 2 inches lower to match what the back can do. Also, I will be getting rid of the ShockWaves in front and doing a 2600lb and shock. When done, the car should lay full pinch. It will be as low as it can go with keeping the tall 4.6l under the long low hood.

If there was room under hood, it'd already be bodydropped. I'm VERY picky when it comes to stock hoods. Especially on mine. It is so wide and long I think a cowl would look foolish. And, the tires hit hood just layin pinch. And don't even get me started about cutting my hood and fenders for bigger wheels to stick through!!......

It's amazing how much lower the back is now. Just a little bit really makes a huge difference!
