I have continentals on my 24's but haven't driven on them yet anyways. On my 19's I ran a 245/45/19 car tire, pirelli I believe, had falken's once and wore them out quick. I try to get the highest utqg rated tire as they tend to wear better, lower the number, they wear quicker.
You should never have to worry about overloading the rear tires, even with a 3 car wedge, your tongue weight should not exceed 25% of the trailer weight, so even a 20,000lb trailer would only have a 5000lb tongue weight plus the weight of the rear of the truck so your looking at 6000 lbs or so on a heavy loaded trailer. Spread that over 4 tires, and your looking at less than 1500lbs per tire. You can help with that by running a 16 on the inside with an e range tire to take more of the load.
The fronts are where the worry lies, not only the weight of the engine, but the forces on the side walls from turning and with a gooseneck or 5th wheel trailers they put some weight on the front end as well as the rear. The hitch ball is usually just forward of the rear axle, where as a tag trailer will make the front end a bit lighter.
