I am going to rewire my 67 c10 and put it back together. The engine hasn't ran since 2003. It had no problems starting/running when I parked it.What do I need to do before I try to fire it for the first time in years?

first change the oil, transmission fluid, rear end gear oil, plugs. I also like to put the tranny in neutral, and use a breakerbar and turn the engine over a few times from the crank pulley

find an old distributor, cut the end gear off of it. weld it to a long old fucked up drill bit.

remove your distributor from the engine, and take your drill and prime the oil pump for a minute with this custom bit.

also, i like to drain the gas tank and fuel lines and fill the thing up with 93 and then start the thing with some gas in the carb
