I need some help....

Ok, my girlfriend turned on the alarm on my truck. I do not drive it much so it ran the battery down. It is bodied and is layed out with shaved door handles. I do not have a slim jim nor do I know how to use one. I guess my question is how do I pop the hood with out getting into it to pull the handle? It is a 90 GMC 1500. Thanks for any help. CB

My cable for my hood got removed when it was body dropped and i pull my hood popper cord through my wheel well now. So maybe if you can see it disconect it and pull it.

can you get through the grill at all or anything?

if u can get behind your grill there is a little lever u can behind the latch that u can pull

pull the back window out.

most tool companies sell a lockout kit, I got mine from matco for about $30

it has a long bendable rod and you slide a plastic wedge between the door frame and body enough to hit the unlock button or pull up on the lock rod

saves a window anyway

You can use the ol' iron clothes hanger, just shimmy it up past the weather strip then proceed to play around until you get it. Your gonna have to take it in and out to bend it properly to get it to your lock so it's best to have a friend on the opposite side guide you.

If that doesn't work, you can always smash a window and make HER pay for the replacement. This is why women don't touch our trucks haha....

***EDIT***Next time you build a truck/buy a truck, make sure to install a backup push button to the door popper inside the wheelwell or somewhere inconspicous :p

You can call the fire dept and they can open it i think. I saw it done before
