Max,

I am sure you are familiar with the infamous Road-Surfers F-150 spindle flip mod

http://forum.sportruck.com/showpost.pl?Board=suspension&Number=41404&Search=true&Forum=suspension&Words=chrysler%20ball%20joint&Match=Whole&Searchpage=15&Limit=25

I guess I was just curious as to what your opinion is on it. At the time, most people that did the mod, did it like he instructed (me included). Now I see more people flipping just the lower BJ and moving the upper arms up.

In my opinion, I always assumed it would be better to flip all three (upper BJ lower BJ and tie rod) since the "bosses" are the same thickness all three would still move in the same arcs as the factory suspension, just upside down.

I modified my spindles a few years ago (still haven't driven the truck since)

I guess I would like to know. If you were planning to lay out a 97-03 F-150 on 20's (245/40/20) what technique have you or would you choose?

I look forward to your response.

A few more angles here:http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v420/Pneufab/spindle%20flip/

I don't know why I don't have any with the tie rod hooked up, but it bolts in the the bottom now too.

Thanks

My stock spindles were machined, with new bungs welded to flip all three.

Pics in my gallery, aired out on 24's.

I would definately say that the tierod ends should not only be flipped, but probably converted to heims so that you could dial in the bumpsteer (that I'm sure will be at least mild).
