I have the suicide doors bracket kit for a 1988 ford ranger. I need a little help to see how the drivers side top bracket fits to the frame.the passenger side is set up and when we went to do the drivers side equal, to make sure it was the same distance and all on both sides, the bracket sits way higher on the frame. everything is level but its still throwing it off on the drivers side. anybody thats familer with this please hit me up in a pm or reply to this. i am lost and need a little help

the frame needs to be notched at the front of the bracket where the frame stamping protrudes if you talking about it being farther away from the frame.

if you mean it physically is higher on the frame, the i-beam may be hitting the tie-rod or engine crossmember.
