That is awesome! I bet insurance is going to cost alot. There is plenty of land in SC.

Thats a nice plan, my bro almost went with something like that. Our garage is 35' deep by 50' wide, so its pretty similar to what we have.

Yeah. but most of us won't be able to afford the insurance. The insurance would be so high compared to a regular house with a detatched shop.

The only bad thing about this is the fumes when welding or painting. They will get all up in the house. If I were to build something like that Id make that 2 seperate buildings or put them together on one floor. Hell if I were single Id have the first floor as my whole house/shop....lol

Here's my garage, actually just got alot of tools stolen too:

How'd they get in? Man that sucks. For the past few years I've been renting a shop. 2400sqft metal building. It was big and great. It was broken into once. They pryed the rear door open. They got away with two sets of wheels. Me and my buddy cannot afford to have this shop anymore. Economy, new kid, etc. So for the past few months we've been scrapping everything left. We had a couple of vehicles left outside that we were going to keep. Someone came by a few times and knocked out every last window in each of the vehicles. These vehicles were stock and had nothing in them. Hell, the doors were left unlocked.

its not going to be a business, just my personal workshop. the insurance is cheap and taxes are a fraction being its a garage.

Syracuse!!!! I'm originally from Sackets Harbor (outside of Watertown). Lived in Fulton for a couple of years too. As far as those plans, the one I drew up had the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and garage all on the bottom floor. No walls. That way if I'm sitting on the couch watching TV (thought of this like 15 yrs ago, no automotive reality TV) and got an idea, I could look over at the trucks. The bedrooms would be on a loft style set up with a balcony. But those floorplans look more realistic!!!!!!

Hell yeah another CNYer in the house. i grew up in baldwinsville, but now live in N. syr.
