i've got an 86 b2000 and i have an 85 ranger rear end. i want to do the five lug swap but i dont know if it would be easier just to go and buy a toyota rear instead of using my ranger rear. would there be any big differences?

The Toyota rearend should be narrower and easier to find parts for (I would think)

the ranger rear end is 54" hub to hub, i dont know the measurements of the toyota. what i was more concerned with was i've heard some ranger rears the pumpkin is offcentered and that would cause more problems that it would be worth to pull it off the truck.

Just get a toyota rear...much easier to work with and more common, so if you run into issues someone here can help ya!

yeah, but the ranger rear is free!

There has got to be a post somewhere about how wide a Toyota rearend is. If not, ask Seth, he has all the Toyota answers.

Free is good tho.
