Cleaned up version of original postvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv So I am sitting here in Houston after just moving here, and going through hurricane Ike. I am now going into day five with no electricity and no water so you can imagine how I smell lol. I originally wasnt going to post this thread in the long drawn out affair that was to be my project layed out excursion, but after laying in bed not being able to sleep I figured sure why not. I am not going to mention any names because who really cares its a story to go along with a bunch of others so here it goes.
You all know about me being shafted by a shop in Columbia that was going to lay out my excursion and then just left me high and dry with a truck with no front suspension and left me just a little burnt out on the custom truck shop searching scene. Well after talking to a few friends a total stranger to me volunteered to go get the excursion and either put it together or rebuild it for me since they felt sorry for me getting shafted for over 10g's. I jumped on that deal and the truck was picked up in Anderson and I was told there was no damage to the truck or anything else )just a funny story about how some truck had spilt some oil and they almost wrecked at the first exit) So the truck was finally safe and away from the bad men who had done me wrong and ruined a perfectly good truck that several of you can probably tell some pretty good stories about road trips all over the country in.
So the guy was going to give me a quote and finally after about a month he told me it was going to be 6g's in labor to lay it out so I told him let me talk to the people who donated parts the first time to Help out a second time then I can see what I can do. Well needless to say after someone has given you a butt load of free product for a truck that was going to guarantee them at least one feature has been sitting for a year and you have no updates other than oops the builder screwed me its kind of hard to get a second go round.( if anyone talks to brandon broullete from detata on a regular basis again tell him I am sorry and thanks for all the Help through the years I sent him a e-mail with no replys.)
So in february i talked to the guy who had it told him I couldnt afford 6g's plus product after losing 10g's the first go round and that i was going to sell it. Again this same person told me he was sorry to hear that and all I owed him was 100 bucks for gas going to get the truck and we would be straight. I told him if anything changed let me know or if it needed to be off his property to just keep me informed and he said will do.
I told him I was trying to sell it to a local friend who may be interested in rebuilding it back to stock and even got the price of 1,000 to do such. Well after posting it on here and e-bay with a couple of buyers falling by the way side. A good old friend of mine decided he was interested in it so I forwarded the guys info that had it to him to give him a call as to what shape the vehicle was in figuring he would be happy to finally be rid of the vehicle. Well the buyer calls me and says you may want to call him because he says you owe him alot of money before he will let the truck leave his property. So I figure he just wants to get the gas money and what not so I give him a call and just like about every month I have tried to call him i get his voice mail message so I left one. Well the next day he calls me back and figures that I owe him some type of storage or something for all the pain ans suffering keeping the excursion stored for me. So I was like ok cool how much do I owe you and he tells me 3,000 dollars the exact price I was going to sell it for and that he had already filed for a abandoned vehicle title and was just going to sell it to my buyer unless we came to some sort of arrangement.
Oh and on top of all this he told me the touch screenpioneer dvd unit as stolen out of the dash but dont worry none of the panels where harmed whoever stole it took it all apart nice and neat then put all the panels back where they where. he also said he was pretty sure he knew who had it but didnt want to start accusing anyone.
Well alot of you know me and know I never get mad well this made my blood boil and made me want to hop on a plane to sc and get my shiz, but of course he through in the whole I have the vehicle hidden where only I and the property owner know where its at so you will never find it.Then added that he creased his trailor and wasnt going to charge me for that and he had to move it three times and wouldnt have charged me for that.
Now keep in mind this is the first time I am hearing any of this since I only owed him 100 bucks and the truck was safe. Well I finally couldnt take anymore of his I can just sell it as abandoned you owe me 3gs make me a offer on your own truck bs and hung up. I was going to report it stolen and talked to a couple of sc cops who said whatever he wrote me a bill for he could charge me since he had possesion even though this guy has no shop I just decided to call a lawyer who of course wants 2500 to get my truck back for me.
Well instead I am just going to say choke on the damn thing and remember karma is a sob I am mailing the title to the original party who was interested in it in sc to see if he can work out a deal with the guy I am through I am just jinxed with this truck.
I do want to thank kevin and darren from razor graphics in v.a who helped me with the paint on my new project,Greg Porter for giving me the deal of a lifetime on the van itself, and his upholstery guy jimmy at three r's for doing the interior for next to nothing. I have less in the van than he wanted for labor, and I am happy everytime I bump my head on the cieling hitting a bump on these damn texas roads.
I apolagize to anyone I might have wronged that may have made me have bad karma on the excursion. Now since I cant sell the ex I am going to have to finance some wheelsfor the van some other way..........anyone need any pictures taken lol ?John Jackson
