what is a good size air compressor for a d a sander and paintin a vechicle?

I would say a least a 60 gallon. I got one from lowes and it was a great price $399.99. I think that they are 449.99 now. It does not come with a pressure regulator though.

i use an 80 gallon porter cable (made by devilbiss, basically) works well for the money paid 730 on sale about 2 years ago. only has a 1 year warranty though. keep in mind that the 80 gallons are usually 2 stage and pump up to 175psi instead of 130psi. i've seen lots of people use those style 60 gallons doing completes though. i just can't stand the noise they make.
