its easier to get a whole clip in one piece only about 10 bolts and 2 body mounts to get it off.
but there is about 12 bolts and a whole lota headache trying to get just one fender apart, and the core supports are different
where you at i could prob hook you up with one
ur going to have to move the mounts back toward the engine more when u putt the newer dog house on. i had an80 chevy and i converted it to the 87 front end and thats wat i had to do. everything else should line up. but the mounts will have to be moved back toward the motor a little bit.
I have a 75 C-10 and wanted to put an 89 clip that I have on, but the 75 has old style spring hinges bolted to the inside of the fender and the 89 has a small spring hinges and a little rod that goes in to the firewall. Do I need to cut that part of the firewall off the donor 89 or can i somehow use my old style hinges?
i did a 78 to a 89 frt clip and i cut the fire wall to clear the new style hood hinges because thats what the main difference is because 73-87 is the same basic truck just few changes along those years
