i have heard you say that a sleeve bag is the best bag for over the axle what bag would you run cause everything i see is only 1/4 port is there anything 3/8 out there. also my truck will do some occational towing will the sleeve bags be up to it or should i run a 2800 pound bag

Are you worried about the speed with a 1/4" port? Because the Datsun goes up faster than my truck, which is bag over bar.

Anyways, I know that Firestone makes a larger sleeve bag, that is designed to carry a load. Its a little pricier, but its probably what you need. Can be found here:

The sleeve bags will drop much faster than they lift, simply because of their design, but they can still lift fairly quick.

I don't think that I would woory so much about the port size, but more about what part is right for my application.

Since we are on the sleeve bag topic I was wondering what kind of ride I could expect with a pair of F9000 sleeves mounted over the axle in the back of a nissan hardbody? I haven't been able to find anyone in my area who has a sleeve bag setup to check out in the ride department so I figured I will just ask here. Thanx for the help

The sleeve bags are just a hair too soft for my taste on a mini, because it doesn't take that much pressure to lift just a bed. But with a good shock, they can ride really nice. Be extra careful not to over extend then though, the only handle about 10% of the hanging weight of a double convoluted bag.

Good to know, thanx Max. Maybe I will just go for a leveraged double convoluted bag instead of the sleeves, with a good set of Bilstiens of course.
