What problems am I going to run into using 3 inch Belltech drop leaf springs and 4 inch lowering blocks on a Mazda B2200 with bags on top of the axle? Is this ghetto setup going to be safe to use? Any premature wear problems you can think of? Also it has a two piece drive shaft.

Thanks

It's typically safe, but you probably won't be pleased with the ride.

Thank you. I know it's not the best thing to do but I need it out of my garage. Thanks again.

If you mono leaf with bags on bars its a pretty decent (Todsmack has this on his Toyota Roadster).Compared to over axle IMO.

That's a lot of trouble to not just 4-link it. It would be better, but not worth the time.

My dakota is currently mono-leafed. 3" blocks, mon-leaf, shackle and hangers with bags over the axle. Doesn't get much lift, not enough for when it gets bodied anyway. And it rides like shit, but I don't have shocks either. Without shocks it's bouncy as fuck. The rear wheels will get air if I hit the right bump at the right speed. That shit's scary.

I had a tacoma bagged on leaf spring for about 6 months. I didn't mind the ride.......until it broke. Just be carefull

I would not mono those belltech leafs...other than that you will probably be fine.

I had the belltech leafs when I was static. I mono'd them when I bagged it( over axle ) and it rode pretty well on 2600 firestones.

Over time my rear seemed to shift toward one side, putting that wheel right against the fender well. It is now off the road, and if I can make myself get motivated, will be 4 linked before hitting the streets again.

Oh yeah, if you run a small enough tire to lay out, your hangers will hit before the frame...you will drag the front of the leaf where it bolts to the hanger. At least mine did.

Almost forgot, is it a one or two peice drive shaft? You might run into pinion angle problems with the leaf and block combo( nothing an angled shim or block won't fix ), or might need to slightly shorten the driveshaft....though I have seen set back plates on the jags that run website, and they would have fixed the very minor amount that mine needed to be shortened.
