line-x bedliner question

I have a line-x spray liner right now. It is just the basic black. My question is has anybody ever painted over a black one? Is it possible or just a big NO DON'T DO IT? I would like for it to match the color of my truck and at one time it did when the truck was black! Will it hold up, or chip easily are there secrets if you do this? Any info is appreciated.Thanks

I know you can have it sprayed to match when your having it done, but I've already had it done in black, so is it to late to match it.
