emissions

i was wondering if there is any info on who can reprogram a ecm for my blazer i have tried to get it to pass emissions but because of the bodydrop and other stuff done before i got the truck it is a lost cause....i got the truck from s.c. where i guess there are no emsission inspections but i just want the truck on the road and out of my garage...help please...

have no clue but here's a bump for ur problem. dont no if ur from cali but sometimes u can pay someone a lil extra to make it pass, but i also heard that there making it harder for shop to be able to do that so idk!

i dont think its the computer as much as the emission componets.

Could just move to KY and forget emissions.

what codes are you throwing?
also check into state laws I know in GA, if you spend $750 (in parts and labor, only parts if you do the work yourself) after you first failed emissions and it fails a second emission within a certain time frame from the first you can file for exemption...

all kinda codes from the body drop and lack of not having emissions where it was built(n.c.)...the egr system i think that is what is called but the hose coming from the exhaust manifold to the intake was capped off because the steering shaft got in the way and the sensor on the gas tank was throwing a code from where the tank was relocated/ lifted...i just want to get the truck on the road and to some shows....

i know the computer isnt the problem but i was gonna see if the computer could be reprogramed without the emissions and so it would pass no matter what.....

what exactly are you failing when you try to get it inspected.

we have mild inspection here in georgia all they do is plug into your obd port and check for service engine light and history....if the service engine light is on you dont pass....
