i have a reverse 4 link and i raised the tranny up and now the driveshaft is hitting the cab . i thought you didnt have to cut the cab . is there somethin i did wrong. the upper 4 link bars pull which make the driveshaft go up which wont let me lay ..

They shouldn't make the drive shaft go that far off. You have pics?

If your drive line is pointing up enough that its hitting the tunnel you should probably be worried about the pinion angle.

Ya it sounds more like a 50/50 link, altho Ive seen reverse and forward kits put the pinion way up with some bad geometry.

However who ever told you the cab didnt need to be cut was wrong, altho it depends on the wheel size, you usually have to tunnel the cab to lay.

^ The 90s Toyotas should lay out (flat) on 18s without cutting the back of the cab. If its not Z'd it usually rubs, but shouldnt keep ti from laying, will just mash the pinch weld and possibly dent the driveshaft and throw it off balance.

Anyways, you shouldn't be setting the weight of the truck on the drive shaft. They are only 16 gauge thick.

would the Z now raise the motor, and make the driveshaft hit though?

sounds like you need to rethink your setup honestly. if whats said is true about laying out fully on 18's. then again when i was driving mine with the front down inch off te ground and the rear just pulled a leaf and blocked it with 3's the shaft would slam on the crossmember sometimes, but yours is gone, no sure how much clearance between that and the cab height wise.

ok i adjusted my upper link bars and it looks alot better and it hits the cab when about 3/4 in off the ground no its not z'ed and its laying on the exhaust . tomorrow ima redo the exhaust and then see where im at ima try to bang in the cab and see what that does . it looks like it should be clearing after the exhaust is moved up and the cab gets a couple bangs .hopefully that helps.. thanks .
